Over the years I've read dozens if not hundreds of blog posts about Kerberos and have always been left wondering.. what? And none of them have solved the cries of agony from Windows administrators and the "can't we just use NTLM?" crowd.

SharePoint 2010 Event Receivers can be Synchronous or Asynchronous

I'm digging around the newly-released SharePoint 2010 SDK.  I'll put up a post in the near future summarising the changes to security, but in the meantime here's one change I noted:    after (-ed) event receivers can now be run synchronously!

SharePoint Designer 2010 Release To Manufacturing (RTM) now available

Fresh from the SharePoint designer team blog: SharePoint Designer 2010 has hit RTM, and is now available for download on Microsoft.com. It's available in 32bit and 64bit flavors.

Google discloses content removal requests from Government - sorted by population

The Wall Street Journal reports that Google has published a site revealing the number of content removal requests received from Governments around the world.  Google also provides data revealing the number of data requests from Governments.

Microsoft have released the Release Candidate versions of Visual Studio 2010, SharePoint 2010, and Forefront Protection for SharePoint 2010!

Office 2010 RC released

Neowin.net reports that the first release candidates (RC) of Office 2010, both server and client versions,  have been released to testers. I'm looking forward to testing SharePoint integration!
